To be frequently overlooked.
The Gen Coupe is a very good car. But is consistently overlooked. What are some other great cars lost in the sea of autotonomy.

That's a very pretty desert landscape in that picture. I like the mountains especially.

Mazda CX-9...I can't tell you how many clients I get that want a mid-size 3 row SUV and immediately go Pilot or Highlander. Don't get me wrong the Honda and Toyota are good crossovers but the CX-9 rides better, handles better, and has just as much room as the other two. It also can be had for a much better value in the pre-owned market.

Sadly, the answer to this question is not...

the old ones had cheap interiors and build quality issues, and the new ones look like dog ass

It's not really that they are lost, it's the tendency of people to only talk about the top two or so cars in a specific class/category. Most people know the GC is a decent car, at least post 2013 revisions, but it just had the problem of being launched at a far lower level than it is currently at. It will take a few years but it will claw it's way back into a more mainstream consideration once these 13' cars make their way into the used car markets.
There are a lot of cars that sit in the shadows simply because they weren't as good/flashy/total package as some competitors, yet are good cars.

But, no manual.

Quick question, how spacious is the 3rd row in the CX-9? What would you recommend for hauling 4 teens around that isn't as massive as a suburban? I have yet to find a midsize SUV that can do that but I haven't spent much time looking, my neighbor asked me for advice last week and I couldn't think of anything that wasn't huge or a minivan haha.

Best-handling FWD car you can buy in America? Buick Regal GS. You can get it with 3 pedals. You can get it with optional AWD (though not with the MT).
Yet it's the slowest-selling vehicle in the Buick line.

It's bigger than the Highlander has more leg room than the Honda. So it might be ok. For 4 teens the Explorer or the Flex would work.

Definitely agree with this. My family cross-shopped the CX-9 with the Pilot and while we ended up with the Pilot, the CX-9 was for sure better value for exactly what you mentioned. The only reason we got the Honda was because we have a big old Bayliner we pull around all summer, the Pilot's towing package could be optioned on the base model, while Mazda limited their towing package to the top-spec (Grand Touring?) CX-9.

Pretty surprised you said the explorer. It doesn't look very big from the outside, but I'll have to tell him to check it out. Thanks!

I liked the previous model, but if I get one of these. Pre-facelifted front it is.

Compared to European vehicles (where this car is sold as an Opel/ Vauxhall Insignia OPC) it has too much understeer. So I don't think it's one of the best-handling FWD cars....

The Regal has a different front suspension than the Insignia and no heavy V6 to weigh the nose down. It posts the highest slalom speeds and skidpad g's of any FWD car sold in America.

My bad, didn't know that! What engine does the Regal have?

The Regal comes with the newest 2.0L Turbo with 259hp and 295lb-ft. It's also available with an NA 2.4 I4 hooked up to a mild hybrid system.

Ah, thanks! Strange differences.
